![]() We focus the emphasis of this review on the research on the E-wallet and online payment, which is an element of an electric payment system, to get the pattern of using this service. Modern technology is turning into an essential element in the financial trade. Apart from laying out some ground work for further research, the insight from this study can also be used by each e-wallet service to help make decisions as part of their marketing strategy. The findings in this study can complement and enrich the literature on the use of ICT in the financial sector in Indonesia and shed light on the use of e-wallet and e-payment industry in this country. The results show that GoPay has the largest user base but OVO is the one with the most loyal user base while DANA has the most different user base of them all. By using survey data from 409 e-wallet users collected in the first half of 2020 and analyzed with descriptive statistics and logistic regression models, this study explores the top three e-wallet services in this country (i.e., GoPay, OVO, and DANA) to identify the user characteristics of the top three e-wallet which currently being used in Indonesia and to investigate which user groups, if any, tend to go with one e-wallet service over another. Finally increasing trust by safeguarding user data and funds.Įlectronic wallet (e-wallet) services have been the most commonly used electronic payment (e-payment) method in Indonesia within the past few years. The way is by coordinating with Islamic public figures, collaboration with merchants and service providers. Education can be improved through social media platforms. Promotions in the form of cashback can be substituted for points to be converted into donations through the Islamic crowdfunding platform. The results depicted that the Islamic e-wallet can be optimized through four points, namely promotion, education, collaboration, and trust but remained fulfilling sharia compliance so that the values of Islamic teachings are not vanished. Qualitative research methods with study literature were chosen to explore previous research that had been discussed on e-wallets particularly from the Islamic perspective both at global and national levels through reputable journals, reports, and other supportive documents. The objective of this research is to propose a strategy to strengthen the islamic digital wallet or electronic wallet (e-wallet) in Indonesia to compete with its conventional counterparts. The study concluded that perceived usefulness and facilitating conditions positively influence customer intention to use mobile payment in Kuala Lumpur, whereas social influence and perceived risk show a negative relationship.This study will help the end-user, the customers on the intention perspective, the businesses, the government agencies, and contribute to the theory. Our sampling technique used is stratified probability sampling, which means using smaller groups to represent the larger populations, and the target sample size is 385 respondents from Kuala Lumpur. Even though previous studies have some conclusions, we would like to focus on Kuala Lumpur demographically. This study will evaluate how perceived usefulness, social influence, facilitating condition, and perceived risk impact the intention to use using mobile payment.
